The group collected 12 words which are heavily used in todays public discourses, however, maybe not everyone understands them the same way
The group collected 12 words which are heavily used in todays public discourses, however, maybe not everyone understands them the same way. One thing is certain: the expressions are all highly important and we have individual understanding and experiences about several of them. They invite the participants to a workshop where they can discuss their own ideas and experiences about these words.
First, the group would collect interpretations and associations about each word, then they would split participants into smaller groups of 4-6. In this groups, there would be an opportunity for everyone to discuss their own experiences and comprehension of each word in a more intimate sphere. Everyone spends 30 minutes in each group discussing 4 expressions, then members of the group would be rotated into another group focusing on the next bunch of expressions.
Expressions would include intersectional feminism, gynecological violence, emotional labour, domestic labour, mansplaining, gaslighting, slutshaming, pink tax, me too, glass ceiling, and menstruation poverty.
Forum theatre has been working with adults for 11 years through various applied theatrical methods.
